Book Signing with David McChesney
Saturday, December 4, 5-7 pm

David J. McChesney is a nature/wildlife photographer who has photographed many hot spots in the western hemisphere over the past 35+ years. His work has been published around the globe. McChesney will be present to sign copies of his latest book of photographs.
McChesney has captured wilderness scenes in 53 American national parks, visiting numerous wildlife habitats, refuges, sanctuaries and ecological preserves along the way.  Since the release of his book Muir Roots: At One with the Wild, David has toured, lectured and given visual presentations on many natural subjects including “American Birdlife,” “The Mojave Desert,”“Canyonlands,” “Northern Exposures,” “Desert Wildlife,” “American Wildlife” and“The National Parks.” 

McChesney has been visiting the Gulf Coast for many years and has assembled a wonderful collection of images displaying area birdlife from the Rio Grande Valley and the Gulf Coast.  This summer he released a line of American Birdlife note cards in the Great Lakes region and recently released a Desert Birdlife line at California’s Big Morongo Canyon. The Rockport Centerfor the Arts event will mark the release of his newest Gulf Coast Birdlife line of note cards.

McChesney, an advanced photography instructor for Joshua Tree National Park’s “Desert Institute” maintains ongoing exhibits at galleries and museums while traveling to photograph wildlife areas and performing in music festivals.  He is also a national harmonica champion known as “Hurricane” David.
