Lindsey Dunnagan through March 9, 2013
Lindsey Dunnagan

Born in Anchorage, Alaska, Lindsey Dunnagan eventually moved to Texas and received a Bachelor of Environmental Design Architecture from Texas A&M in 2007.  After college, she briefly worked as an architectural intern before deciding to join the US Peace Corps.  From 2007 – 2009, Lindsey worked with artisans as a Small Business Development Volunteer in Morocco. After returning to the United States in 2009, she decided to change careers from architecture to art, recently completing a Master of Fine Arts degree from Texas Woman’s University.

Dunnagan's watercolor works range from photo and mystical realism to total abstract experimentation, drawing from maps, satellite views, organic and mathematical forms.

Lindsey was recently named a finalist in the Hunting Art Prize, a prestigious annual competition open to Texas artists. Its $50,000 award is historically the most generous annual award in North America for painting and drawing, and has helped to build the reputations, raise the profiles, and support the careers of distinguished artists.
