The Rockport Center for the Arts will be closing at 1:00 pm on December 31st in preparation for the New Year holiday and be closed all day January 1st. We will resume normal operations on Saturday, January 2, 2010.

The Lobstick Prince is the educational true story of a very special Whooping Crane that migrates from Canada to South Texas every year. It is a young adult/children's book authored by Tommy Moore, and illustrated by 1998 Rockport Poster Artist Evelyn Atkinson.

Tommy and Evelyn will be present Saturday, Dec 5, at 4pm to sign copies of the book, preceding the Currents reception.

On Sunday November 14, Sandy Scott's "Off Port Bow," a bronze sculpture of three dolphins, was dedicated in Rockport Center for the Arts' Sculpture Garden. In honor of the late Lola L. Bonner, the sculpture and current exhibition, "Shorelines," a national exhibition of coastal-inspired art, were made possible by the Margaret Sue Rust Foundation.
