STUDIO TOUR WEEKEND DELIVERS CROWDS AND HUGE ART SALES IN ROCKPORT

OVER 400 PEOPLE VISITED EACH STUDIO

(ROCKPORT, TX.) Almost 30 years ago the first Tour of Homes started a new Art Center tradition. After Hurricane Harvey, the organization of 49 years, spun the Tour in a new direction, featuring artists’ studios instead of homes.

(Rockport, TX) Rockport Center for the Arts is sad to announce that our former home, located at 902 Navigation Circle, will soon be razed due to damages resulting from Hurricane Harvey.

The Rebuild Texas Fund recently awarded the Rockport Center for the Arts a grant in the amount of $500,000 to aid in rebuilding efforts after hurricane Harvey destroyed the Art Center facility, located on Aransas Bay last August. The Rebuild Texas Fund provides funding to nonprofit, government, corporate, and philanthropic organizations working on the ground in Texas communities, big and small, that have been affected by Hurricane Harvey.
