2010 Rockport Art Festival T-Shirt Artist: Kyrie Davenport
The 2010 Rockport Art Festival T-Shirt art was created by Kyrie Davenport, a Rockport-Fulton Middle School Student.

Kyrie's work was selected by the Art Center Staff in a contest for the winning Art Festival T-Shirt Design last Spring. The image is of a hot Coastal Texas day with a colorful palm tree in the foreground, with cool waves gently swaying in the background. It looks and feels a lot like Rockport on July 4th!

Kyrie is 12 years old, is the oldest of 3 sisters, and lives with her family in Rockport. Kyrie is a positive and outgoing young woman. She has loved to create artwork her entire life, and it makes her very happy. Extremely creative, Kyrie enjoys taking Art Class at school, where she learns new techniques and is given the opportunity to try new things. She is always excited to learn, and to teach others. Her other hobbies include reading and writing. She enjoys being outside in the beautiful surroundings of Rockport, where she gathers much of her inspiration for her artwork. Kyrie aims to be an artist when she grows up, and share her artwork with the world. Kyrie's art teacher this year is Susan Travis.

Kyrie will be signing T-Shirts on Saturday July 3rd... check with the hospitality/info tent for exact times. Congratulations Kyrie!
