Estelle Stair Gallery to Reopen its Doors
Come be a part of re-awakening history! Estelle Stair Gallery will reopen its doors Saturday, May 7 at 4 pm with a reception for the Rockport Nine: Paints Texas.

The Rockport Nine: Paints Texas is the latest collection of work by local artists Angalee DeForest, Anita Diebel, Susan Forrest, Mary Frazier, Lisa Baer Frederick, Caro Jackson, Carol Koutnik, Ann Reimer and Betty Shamel. The group has traveled all over Texas to paint the scenery and return for a showing.

The Estelle Stair Gallery is one of the most historic and important buildings in the history of the Rockport Art Community. Stair, an original founder of the Rockport Art Association, housed the group in her gallery before moving to its current location in the historic Bruhl O' Connor home in the navigation district. Stair's niece, Lisa Baer Frederick, has spent many months restoring the building, and plans to reopen the space for art shows, special events, and private engagements.
