RCA Announces Part Time Seasonal Position: Special Events Coordinator

The SE Coordinator will support volunteer leaders in the efficient planning and implementation of special events.The SE Coordinator will be a hands-on problem-solver, providing administrative support to the Executive Director and Special Event Leaders. In this role, responsibilities will include maintaining the event attendee database, document preparation, processing tax letters for contributions, filing and other administrative tasks. This position also includes additional general administrative duties outside the scope of special events. 


Education and/or Experience
  • Minimum of a BA degree from an accredited University or school, and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with development, special event and/or membership areas preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, Access) is required. Experience with donor database systems and creating mail merges is preferred.
  • Ability to manage details of various projects, build rapport and work diplomatically with senior volunteers and the public, as well as having represented a non-profit organization in a professional manner.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills and be a team player who is able to work collaboratively in a small team environment.
  • Be a self starter and able to work without supervision.
  • Exhibit a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
  • Be flexible in the work environment and able to multi-task.
  • Possess a commitment to art.

 

Seasonal / Part Time: 

Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays from 9 am - 1 pm & occasional evenings
February 15th  through July 31st
