Art Festival Prize Jury Announced

The 2012 Rockport Art Festival Prize Jury:

Deborah Males is a painter and architect. Deborah’s work can be found in numerous private and public collections, including the permanent collection of the City of Corpus Christi and South Texas Institute for the Arts. The recipient of many awards, she has conducted seminars on process painting and taught classes at Del Mar College. She maintains a studio in Corpus Christi where she paints commissioned pieces as well as work for gallery exhibition. http://www.deborahmales.com/

A mixed-media artist, Jamie Speck completed her undergraduate work at Texas State University in San Marcos, where she majored in studio art, and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.F.A.. She received her Master’s degree in painting & drawing at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas in 2002. She has taught art in public schools, and presently works as a part-time, on-line Art Instructor for Blinn College and as a studio artist.  Her work is represented by Estelle Stair Gallery in downtown Rockport. http://www.jamiespeck.com/

Cameron Pratt, while owning and operating Port A Gallery in Port Aransas, Texas for many years, discovered and fostered local to state-wide artistic talent such as Kyle Polzin, Debbie Stevens and Glenda Kronke. She manages the Port Aransas Museum Gift Shop and is Director of the Annual Coastal Paint-Out, a plein air competition held each October benefiting the Port Aransas Museum. Cameron and her surfer husband have been Coastal Bend residents since 1981, with 18 of those years serving as Keepers of the Aransas Light.
