Felder Gallery to Host Artists' Homecoming in Port Aransas April 27

It was the 60's and 70's in Port A when these three artists began painting. Nearly forty years later these accomplished artists reunite for the first time where it all started: Port A. Felder Gallery welcomes back artists Glenn Francis, John Cobb and Wade Koniakowsky for a reunion show April 27th from 5-7 pm.

"John Cobb said there is no patron saint of surfers, so he picked the next best thing to paint on his board: St. Clement, patron saint of seamen, gondoliers and naval excursions." In Port Aransas, Cobb painted the inside of the Chapel on the Hill, in fresco, depicting the History of Christianity. In 2004 the Art Museum of South Texas acquired a watercolor for their permanent collection.

"Wade Koniakowsky's focus is capturing Polynesian dreamscapes and the related emotional tie we have with far away lands. His vibe intersects with those same emotions–unspoiled, nirvana-esque landscapes, islander portraits, and ephemeral visions that make you want to sell it all and travel." – Jim Moriarty President Surfrider Foundation

"At 3.5 x 5.5 feet, it's just stunning. We made our Glenn Francis painting, titled, "Evening Session" the centerpiece of our remodel in our great room 3 years ago. We never tire of this gorgeous view that always draws you to another place." – Peter Z. Avid Art Collector from California
