Pails 4 Sail! 2013 Artist Project Auction

Dear Fellow Art Enthusiasts;

Our beautiful Rockport Center for the Arts is celebrating its 44th year, and we want you to be a part of that celebration! This year we recognize Kay Barnebey, esteemed watercolorist and 2000 Rockport Art Festival Poster Artist, as the Honorary Chairman for the Art Auction Dinner! We are expecting a star-spangled evening of delicious food, exceptional art, and enthusiastic support and participation.

This year's theme is "Red, White and Blue by the Bay." We invite you to participate in our "Pails 4 Sail" Artist Project. Using your talents, we ask you to decorate galvanized metal washtubs by piercing, painting, collaging, embellishing - whatever is your forte! Your artful washtubs will be auctioned off at the Art Auction Party on July 5th. Purchasers can use these them as planters, beer coolers, storage, candle holders, and more!

We will have 60 galvanized metal oval washtubs at the Art Center ready for pick-up today. We are limiting washtubs to 1 per artist. You must sign them out with your printed name and contact information. We ask that you have your completed work back to the Art Center no later than June18th, in order for us to photograph them and have the bid sheets ready. The washtubs will be on display during the Poster Artists' Reception on June 22nd,from 5-7pm.

This year we have added a super new twist - the "Buy it Now!" option. Attendees of the June 22 reception have the option to"Buy it Now!" at a set price before the Auction on the 5th.

We want to thank you for your participation in this wonderful annual event and our largest fundraiser. You are the reason for the Center's continued success. Your support ensures funding for Rockport Center for the Arts and all its programs and allows the Center to give back to the Rockport community.
