RCA Remembers Herb Booth
The Rockport Art Community is saddened by the sudden loss of our dear friend and nationally-known sporting artist Herb Booth, a fixture in the Texas art scene for over 30 years. His decades of experience as a naturalist and hunter made for some of the most authentic and beautifully rendered scenes of the Texas coast and countryside ever produced.

He gave of his time and talents regularly to the Art Center and to organizations like the Coastal Conservation Association. He was named a Rockport Art Festival Poster Artist in 1996, and received many other distinguished honors including producing work for eleven Ducks Unlimited Conservation Stamp Prints. His strong and positive presence will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Services for Herb were held at Rockport Presbyterian Church Thursday, December 11, followed by a reception at Rockport Center for the Arts.

In lieu of flowers please send a donation to a charity of your choice or The Koshare Foundation (
