A Message from Luis Purón, Executive Director

Dear Supporter of the Arts:

Fall is upon us and that means it is time for the Rockport Film Festival!  We are excited to announce that for the first time in the Festival’s 17 year history, this year’s event will be presented at The Rockport Conference Center (The ROCC), the new state of the art facility designed to host top notch events.

Scheduled from November 10th through 13th, the Festival marries the power of storytelling with the best independent cinema and brings it to the Texas Coast.  Rockport Center for the Arts (RCA) needs your help to bring these powerful storytellers to our community.  Your contribution will benefit the educational programs of the Rockport Center for the Arts as well as the scholastic efforts of our longtime partner the Rockport Rotary.  In addition, the Festival strengthens the economy through cultural tourism by including social gatherings with many of the filmmakers at downtown galleries and eateries.

The Rockport Film Festival gives back to our community in a big way, by bringing professional filmmakers to Rockport High School to impart workshops that help local students create films that will be screened during the Festival.
