The 2011 Art Festival Prize Jurors are Austin-based ceramic artist Susan Budge, Rockport artist/photographer Pamela Fulcher, and Rob Felder, owner/director of Felder Gallery, Port Aransas.

Local community builder and arts patron Jan Wendell passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, May 21, 2011.

Jane DeDecker's sculpture "Into the Wind" was dedicated April 2, 2011, bringing a successfull collaborative venture with the artist and her family, the Art Center, and donors The Margaret Sue Rust Foundation.

Estelle Stair Gallery will reopen its doors Saturday, May 7 at 4 pm with a reception for the Rockport Nine: Paints Texas.

The Rockport Music Festival is a member-based event designed to bring top acts to South Texas. The venue offers coastal views, sea breezes and the charm that only the Rockport-Fulton, TX area can offer.

The Women Artists of the West will exhibit their annual juried show at Rockport Center for the Arts May 11 - June 4, 2011. Juror Ann Templeton will give a workshop May 11-May 13, and several artists will demo their work on Saturday May 14 just prior to the reception.

Six member artists are chosen every year to show as a group in the annual Merit Artists Exhibition, Standing Out. The 2011 Merit Artists are Ed Boyd, Mary Downing, Marie Gian, Jose Guardiola, Jamie Speck, and Pam Stanley.

In an effort to showcase the work of creative artists interested in ecology and the environment through their media or in the techniques they use, the 2011 Festival of the Arts will be hosting an exhibition entitled Going Green. The Festival of the Arts will be held at the Art Center of Corpus Christi on March 25, 26,27, 2011.

Barnes & Miner will be appearing for one night only at Main Street Arts/Bay Area Fellowship, at 7:30 pm. Childcare is provided! Tickets are $10 per person and may be purchased at the door or in advance at the church campus.

Since 1991, ISEA has been promoting the creation and awareness of Experimental Art! We are a group of contemporary experimental artists known for our prestigious annual art exhibits -- held both in the US and internationally. We produce a print catalogue of our exhibit and we host an annual Art Symposium where artists attend workshops, demonstrations and presentations by leading artists and instructors in experimental art.

Open to Texas Pastel Society members. Annual dues must be current.

The County Fair for Aransas County is called the San Patricio & Aransas County Agriculture and Homemakers Show, the week of January 22-29. Entries are being accepted now.

TEXAS ARTISTS ELIGIBLE FOR $50,000 AWARD

The Penny Redmon Scholarship, a $250 award for classes and workshops given to a Member Artist by Popular Vote, has named its first two recipients: Susan Forrest and Frances Iles.

Local Rockport artist and RCA Member Haydee Holland will exhibit at the Texas State Museum of Asian Cultures December 7, 2010 - January 3, 2011. A reception will be held on Saturday, December 11 from 5-7 pm.

A new sculpture garden entrance was dedicated on Saturday, October 30, complete with a new glass door and cascading steps.
