John Aasp Joins Art Center as Director of Visual Arts
ROCKPORT, TEXAS -- John Aasp, a multimedia artist, has been named Director of Visual Arts for The Rockport Center for the Arts. In this position he will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Art Center’s visual arts programs; planning and installation of all exhibitions; be a member of the Exhibition Committee, RCA Strategic Planning and Sculpture Garden Committees; provide leadership for all art-related areas of the Rockport Art Festival; and will continue to build relationships with artists, art gallery managers and art patrons in Rockport.

The Rockport Center for the Arts is pleased to present the Percussion Ensemble of Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi (TAMUCC) as part of its ongoing Young Performing Artists Series. The concert will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 31st at Main Street Arts Performing Arts Center, located at 902 E. Main Street.
