Dee Buck received his Master's Degree in Ceramics from Texas Woman's University in 1980, and is known for his wood-fired handmade stoneware with rich textures and glazes. Terry Buck, after managing their pottery gallery in Gruene, TX, and assisting in the workshop, began making her own pottery inspired by the flora and fauna of the Texas Hill Country.
For over 20 years, Dee & Terry Buck have helped organize the Texas Clay Festival in Gruene, an annual event celebrating the art and craft of ceramics, which hosts workshops, demonstrations and features the work of some of the state's best ceramic artists.
The Bucks will be presenting a show of their work in the Art Center's main gallery, and conducting a free pottery demonstration during Rockport Clay Expo weekend.
