About the Instructor
Native Texan born in Hondo, TX. I've been shooting photos my whole life, but started a professional career in 2015, by way of drones. My interest in drones came from a childhood of building model airplanes and then radio-controlled airplanes and then finally I got my Pilot Licenses while building airplanes for Mcdonnel Douglas, Cessna, Learjet and others. I'm currently working on obtaining my "Certified Professional Photographer" endorsement from Professional Photographers of America. I recently passed the exam and am working on the final step of submitting some very specific, technical photos that will be closely examined and graded to show my competency, skills, and knowledge for properly posed and lighted photos. My wife Amy is a Disabled Veteran after serving 12 years in the Army. I'm a Grandfather of 4. I'm 55 years old and my hobbies are: Music, Fishing, cooking, the outdoors, and cooking and of course I dedicate most of my free time to shooting photos - any kind of photos! I have taken professional courses on shooting just about anything, including family portraits, pet photography, street photography, boudoir, concerts and events, product photography, high school seniors, corporate headshots, and real estate.
