Workshop Description
In this workshop Sharen Chatterton and Karen Rester, will lead you through the steps to create your unique Angel. We will be using acrylics, paper, cloth and other materials, as well as learning techniques for creating our unique angel faces, wings and more.
“Through this workshop we will help you bring life and light into your Angel, bringing out the love, light and gratitude from within you and letting it shine throughout your piece.”
“May you believe that you always have an angel by your side”
We will supply a 16” x 20” Canvas, starting image pre-drawn on canvas for each participant; along with other supplies for use.
(This workshop is recommended for advanced beginners, with some painting experience. There is detail painting, blending and shading on the face of your angel. With that said, quick learners are encouraged and welcome!)
Supplies
1. Four or more acrylic paint colors that you would like to see as a part of your angel painting. We suggest Americana if you are going to buy acrylic craft paints, if you have acrylics at home, make sure they are soft body acrylics (they flow) not heavy body acrylics (very thick). Golden and Liquitex acrylics are great, but will be a larger investment.
2. You must also have acrylic paints in black, white, light brown, cream, flesh tone, recommend Americana acrylic paints
3. Acrylic paint brushes recommend - Flat: ¼, ½, ¾ inch, Round: 00 or 0 (use for detail work on the face), if you work with acrylics, then whatever size acrylic brushes you work with, should work well, need some for background, body, face, details, etc.
4. Water container, paper towels, paper plates for palette
5. Pencil with eraser
6. Paper glue such as Mod Podge or Tack
7. White gelly roll pen, black and white acrylic pens, we recommend Posca pens, small nib.
8. Apron or paint clothes
9. If you would like to personalize your angel with ephemera, bring material, buttons, costume jewelry, etc., that you might work into your piece.
