Workshop Description
Come join us Tuesday, September 20, 2022, as we create expressive mixed media art cards in this 2 hour class with artist Sharen Chatterton and Karen Rester. We will guide you in creating a set of 8 art card pieces. You'll experiment with a variety of mixed media techniques, incorporate paint, stenciling, collage, cloth, different types of paper and texture mediums to create depth and dimension in your pieces. We'll be working in multiple mixed media layers with wet and dry materials! Beginner and experienced artiest alike will enjoy this fun and creative experience into expressive mixed media art! Bring your paint clothes and get ready to enter the fun world of mixed media! All supplies are included.

About the Instructors
Twin sisters and artists, Sharen Chatterton and Karen Rester are unique in their own respective creative processes and when working together, bring magic to whatever they are doing. Their Art is as varied and eclectic as they are. “It is all about listening to the wisdom of your soul.” Whether painting in acrylics, watercolor, sculpting with clay, spinning, weaving or mixing it up creating a mixed media piece, it is a journey, a path that they have created together. Every art book they have created is filled with their heart and soul. Every piece of art is imagined with color. texture and feeling, to bring forward an emotional response from the viewer. “We like to think that every paint stroke brings energy and light to the piece. Each is a journey, unique and ever evolving.”
