Workshop Description
What you know to be true, you know deep within yourself. Being Authentic is making choices that create a resonance of affirmation inside yourself. When you listen to that voice from within that speaks with love, understanding and compassion, the speaker of truth, the voice that gives you hope and pushes you to trust and believe in yourself, you find your life is easier, more graceful and more peaceful. In this workshop we will bring forth our Authentic Voice; utilize it to create our art piece, filled with those words, feelings, phrases that bring you peace and grace from the inside, out.
Affirmation:
I am exploring the wisdom of my soul. I am shedding my old ways and beliefs that no longer fit who I am becoming. I will be brave; I am becoming my authentic self.
(This workshop is recommended for advanced beginners, with some painting experience. There is detail painting, blending and shading on the face of your authentic voice. With that said, quick learners are encouraged and welcome!)

Supplies
1. Eight or more acrylic paint colors that resonate with your authentic self. Wesuggest Americana if you are going to buy acrylic craft paints, if you have some at home, make sure they are soft body acrylics (they flow) not heavy body acrylics (very thick). How do you know if they resonate? You will love the color combination because it will make you feel good inside, it may bring a feeling of peace, of joy, they may make you smile, wherever those voices are leading you, choose colors that reflect your authentic voice.
2. You must also have acrylic paints in black, white, light brown, cream, fleshtone, recommend Americana acrylic paints
3. Acrylic paint brushes recommend - Flat: ¼, ½, ¾ inch, Round: 00 or 0 (use for detail work on the face), if you work with acrylics, then whatever size acrylic brushes you work with, should work well, need some for background, body, face, details, etc.
4. Water container, paper towels, paper plates for palette
5. Pencil with eraser
6. Paper glue such as Mod Podge or Tack
7. White gelly roll pen (Optional)
8. Apron or paint clothes
9. Optional: A piece of adhesive foam project board cut to 18" x 24", you can get these at Hobby Lobby. They can be cut to size in a frame shop, or you can do it yourself if you are experienced with using an Xacto knife. These boards are great to mount your " Authentic Voice" piece on. You do not have to have this for the workshop, but it is perfect to mount the piece on.
