Class Information:

Teaching artist, Vivian Rood, will lead participants through creating, glazing, and outdoor Raku Firing Process. Every student will get to fill the kiln 1 time with whatever they create. Your pieces will be ready to take home that day.

Important: The instructor has the right to deny any piece entry into the firing if she deems the piece high risk for explosion or it does not meet the size restrictions.

Raku is for decorative use only. Raku is not Food Safe or Dishwasher Safe.  RCA is not responsible for broken pottery. Pieces are not guaranteed to survive the Raku process.

Safety: All students must review and obey the safety rules provided by the instructor.  Please wear close-toed shoes, 100% natural fibers, long sleeve shirts, and have your hair tied back. Safety equipment will be on hand and reviewed by the instructor.
