Michael Atkinson's "Man's Best Friend," donated to the Art Center in 1999, received a fresh bronze finish with new patina colors. The Art Center thanks Muralist and Sculptor Alberto Saucedo from San Antonio who came to refinish the piece.
In its first addition since 2002, the Art Center's Sculpture Garden welcomes its newest work of art - "Return of Ancient Wisdom" is sculptor Leo Osborne's rendition of the Kemp's ridley turtle.
Lola L. Bonner, three-term president of the Board of Directors for Rockport Center for the Arts and a Trustee of the Margaret Sue Rust Foundation, passed away on February 8, 2008.
