It is time to pickup/dropoff work for the Members’ Exhibition in the Mendez Gallery. Please come by the galleries (204 S Austin Street) from 10-5 on Friday, March 22, or Saturday, March 23, 2024.
The theme for this Members Exhibition is Collage. Please make sure your art features collage predominantly. Feel free to get creative!

2024 RULES FOR MEMBERS EXHIBITION PARTICIPATION
1. RCA Members in good standing will be allowed to submit one, original piece of art for the Members Exhibition.
2. Work must be original, no glicee prints or reproduction (unless its a photo). More than 80% of the work should be made or altered significantly by hand.
3. The art can have a cumulative perimeter up to 96 inches or less including frame. For 3D work, the art must fit inside an 18 x 18 x 18 cube.
4. The 2D art must be ready to hang with either a wire (preferred), teeth, or d-rings on the back.
5. Work should be more fine art over craft. The Mendez Family Gallery will showcase decorative, fine art (like paintings, photos, sculptures), and the John & Mary Willrodt Gift Shop will feature functional art and crafts (fiber, jewelry, bowls, etc.)

6. Work cannot have a value greater than $2,500.

The annual all-member exhibition highlights our family of artists and provides a chance to stand out as a Merit Artist the following year. See the rules for Merit Artist competition. All members in good standing can submit ONE piece of original art to the Big Wave: Annual All Members Exhibition. Work for this exhibition may be delivered Friday, November 17 - Saturday, November 18 at the gallery at 204 S. Austin Street. If you need to make drop-off arrangements outside of this time, please call 361.729.5519.
Requirements for artwork in Big Wave: Annual All Members Exhibition:
Paintings, sculptures, photographs, etc. are all accepted; however giclée prints of original art are not allowed.
There is no theme to this exhibition.
All media are accepted.
Artwork cannot be larger than 50” x 50” and cannot be smaller than 10” x 10”.
Artwork cannot be priced higher than $7,000 or lower than $100. Artwork does not have to be for sale, but the value cannot exceed $7,000.
