We are very happy to announce the co-chairs of this year’s 2020 Kickoff party, Debbie Jackson and her daughter Sarah Wundt. Not only are Debbie and Sarah our first ever mother-daughter duo, but they also have a great family connection to Rockport Center for the Arts (RCA) through past Executive Director Mary Lucille Jackson. As longtime residents of Rockport as well as longtime supporters of RCA, this team cherishes the history of Rockport Arts and will bring a fresh approach to the most popular spring event in Rockport.

This annual event is a major source of funding for RCA. Revenue from the Kickoff Party supports the free and low-cost programming we offer year-round. Artists are the heart and soul of Rockport, and we are proud to feature them along with the Art Studio Tour that will be held on Saturday and Sunday, April 4 and 5.

The annual Kickoff Party for the Rockport Studio Tour will be held on Friday, April 3 at Estelle Stair Gallery, one of the most remarkable venues in Rockport. The weekend promises a variety of entertainment and attractions for visitors to Rockport along with the opportunity for our community to view some of the most incredible art, including a solo exhibition by Corpus Christi-based artist, Richard James. His solo exhibition opens at the Art Center Gallery located at 406 S. Austin Street inside Estelle Stair Gallery on Saturday, April 4. Join us for the opening reception for his exhibition during the ArtLoop on April 4, 4-7pm, at Estelle Stair Gallery located at 406 S. Austin St.
