She has been a traditional sewer/quilter all her life, but today, Susie Bracht Black is branching out to experimental fabric art, showing off her brilliant work in the Art Center's Garden Gallery this summer.

Pamela Fulcher is known for her bold and beautiful photographs, whether seascapes and harbor views, industrial and pastoral scenes or portraits of well-known local characters.

Deb Gioia brings her whimsical painting and sculpture to the center in May.

Photographers Jerra and Buddy Lee's photographs span many subjects, but for this exhibition, the work centers around the artist's recent trips to Cuba.

Diane Pike is known for her confident, sharp and colorful plein air paintings. Pike received her degree in Fine Art from the University of Northern Colorado where she studied printmaking and graphic design, then worked for 10 years as a graphic designer in Denver.

Every year RCA hosts a statewide juried exhibition for undergraduate and graduate students emerging in the visual arts. Prize winners are awarded to the top three artworks and selected by an invited juror: $500 First Prize, $300 Second Prize, and $200 Third Prize. Honorable Mentions may be awarded at the juror's discretion.

The annual all-member exhibition highlights our family of artists and provides a chance to stand out as a Merit Artist the following year. An invited juror will chose five Merit Artists, and a sixth is selected by popular vote.

Chance Yarbrough grew up in Waco, Texas. He began hunting and fishing with his Dad from a very early age. He has always had an interest and natural talent for art, even as a young child.

The 2013 Merit Artists are selected from the previous All-Member Show (Currents). Five are selected by an invited juror, and one by popular vote. All six artists display new work for the exhibition.

Bonnie Lou Prouty was Art Director at Rockport Center for the Arts when the very first Art Festival poster was created in 1993.

2013 Resident Artists Judith Selby and Richard Lang collect plastic from a small beach in Northern California, making colorful and intriguing works of art out of the pieces they find.

Mimi Braniff has been part of the Rockport Art Center family since 1999. She was featured as a Merit Artist in 2001, in both Aransas Artists for Nature exhibitions (in 2005 and 2008) and was designated as one of Texas's Ten Best Craftspersons in 2005.

Well known and admired in the Texas Coastal Bend, artist Steve Russell's unique approach to painting is unmatched by any other Rockport-area artist, inspired by extensive travel and a burning curiosity for Texas history.

Born in Anchorage, Alaska, Lindsey Dunnagan eventually moved to Texas and received a Bachelor of Environmental Design Architecture from Texas A&M in 2007.
